An intraday scanner watches the whole market during the session and shows you the few stocks doing something worth looking at — moving hard, breaking a level everyone can see, or reacting at a zone where big orders were filled before.
BreakPoint is a live intraday scanner for NSE stocks. During market hours (09:15 to 15:30 IST) it ranks the day’s strongest and weakest stocks, flags stocks breaking the previous day’s high or low, marks order block zones price is returning to, and — for F&O traders — shows the open-interest trend behind each move. Every result comes with the levels you need to plan an entry and a stop-loss. It does not give buy or sell calls; it narrows a market of thousands of stocks to a short list you can actually watch.
Each tool answers one question about the session. Open the guide to see how to read it.
Before 09:15 — read the market, not a stock
Check Index Trend and the previous day’s levels. A market trending down on every timeframe is a different day from one that is range-bound, and it changes which list you should be looking at.
After the open — let the board settle
The first minutes are noisy. Watch which names hold their place on Market Mover and which sectors keep showing up, rather than chasing the first spike.
Wait for a level, not a feeling
A stock breaking yesterday’s high, or reacting at an order block zone, gives you a defined place to be wrong. That level is your stop-loss reference before it is your entry.
Set alerts and step back
Put the few names that qualify on your watchlist with alerts, so the app tells you when price reaches your level instead of you staring at a screen all day.
Write it down after the close
Log what you took and why in the trade diary. The review is where a scanner routine turns into a process you can improve.
An intraday scanner updates during the session, because intraday decisions are made while prices move. An end-of-day screener runs on the closing data and is built for swing and positional trades that are planned in the evening.
Using an end-of-day screener for intraday trading means working from yesterday’s picture; using a live scanner for a three-week swing trade adds noise you do not need. BreakPoint has both, and they share one watchlist.
It must be live
If the data refreshes after the close, it is a screener, not an intraday scanner. Check how often results update during market hours.
Every result needs a level
A list of names is half the job. You need the level that makes the trade valid and the one that proves it wrong.
Market context on the same screen
A breakout against a falling index and weak sector is a different trade from one with the market behind it.
Alerts you will actually see
Alerts pushed to your phone let you wait for the level instead of watching the screen.
Which intraday scanner is best depends on how you trade — a live scanner with prepared setups suits a different trader from a tool where you write your own conditions. The comparison page sets BreakPoint beside Chartink, StockEdge, Trendlyne and others, including where BreakPoint is the wrong choice. Compare stock scanners.

An intraday scanner is a tool that checks every stock during market hours and lists the ones meeting a condition right now — moving sharply, breaking a key level, or reacting at a support or resistance zone. It replaces scrolling through hundreds of charts with a short list you can study and plan.
There is no single best one; it depends on whether you want prepared live setups or want to write your own scan conditions. BreakPoint is built for active traders who want live movers, previous-day level breaks, order block zones and F&O positioning in one place, each with levels attached. The comparison page at brkpoint.in/compare-stock-scanners sets it against the other common choices, including when another tool fits better.
Yes. The intraday tools update through the NSE session, 09:15 to 15:30 IST, so the lists change as prices move. The end-of-day swing and positional screeners update after the close.
Yes. The HLC breakout scanner lists stocks breaking the previous day’s high, low or close as it happens, and Order Block Zone shows stocks approaching zones where large orders were filled before. Both give you the level that defines the trade.
Yes. The BreakPoint app for Android and iPhone carries the scanners, charts and watchlist, and alerts are pushed to the phone so you can wait for a level instead of watching the screen.
No. BreakPoint describes market conditions — what is moving, where the levels are, where positions are building. It does not give buy or sell recommendations, and the trading decision and its risk remain yours.
No. BreakPoint is an analytics platform, not a broker. It does not place orders or hold funds; you trade through your own broker.
Market Mover, the HLC breakout scanner, Order Block Zone, Index Trend and Options Analytics are in Breakpoint Pro. The F&O suite, including OptionX and the F&O open-interest dashboard, is in Pro 365 (the 180- and 365-day plans). The guides and trading lessons are free to read.
Read the Market Mover guide to see how the board works, then compare plans when you are ready to scan live.
